a couple of years ago one of my best friends Evanni, made me this painting. it's had pride of place on my wall since november 2007, and i often just sit on my bed and reflect on it, and what it represents.
The Greatest Love. the love that Jesus Christ has for every single imperfect, sinning one of us, the love that he hung on the cross for, even though he was pure and blameless. the love that he offers to us, even though we fall short every single time. and the love that offers us a personal relationship with our creator.
"but he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our inquities, the punishment that brought us peace, was upon him. and by his wounds we are healed" -Isaiah 53:5
this is the reason for easter. it's not about the bunny. it's about the Risen Son of God, and his offering of forgiveness to all mankind.
